The details builders ask about most
Are Base Inc workers employees or contractors?
Workers staffed through Base are W-2 employees of Base Inc for the duration of each assignment. We handle payroll taxes, workers' compensation, and unemployment insurance — you receive one invoice and zero co-employment headaches.
How fast can a crew actually be on site?
Across active markets, our median time from published requisition to a fully matched crew is about eleven hours. Single-trade fills for next-day shifts are common; larger phased crews are typically rostered within two to three business days.
What happens if a worker doesn't show up?
Base monitors reliability in real time and proactively flags no-show risk before a shift. If a confirmed worker can't make it, our system surfaces a qualified backfill immediately, and the no-show is reflected in that worker's reliability score.
Which markets do you operate in?
Base Inc currently staffs across major metropolitan markets in the United States, with deepest coverage in the Mountain West, Pacific Northwest, and Texas Triangle. Coverage by trade varies — request a market check and we'll confirm availability for your site.
Can we rebook the same crew?
Yes. Favorite any worker or crew and Base prioritizes them for your future requisitions. Many employers build a standing bench they pull from week after week.
How does pricing work?
You pay a single blended hourly rate per worker that already includes verification, insurance, payroll burden, and the platform fee — no separate markup line. Overtime past 40 hours per week is billed at 1.5× the blended rate.
